In 2016, the prestigious string orchestra Les Violons du Roy commissioned Marianne Trudel to write a large-scale composition: Sources, in seven movements, of a duration of 45 minutes, for string orchestra and her trio Trifolia. The composition was played in world premiere at Palais Montcalm (Quebec city) with a great response from the audience. In 2024, the string orchestra ECO (Orchestre national de jazz de Montréal) and Trifolia presented again the program at Place des Arts (Montreal), for a memorable evening! A magical moment, high in emotions, in communion with the audience.
Sources is a composition inspired by water, in all of its forms, allayed brilliantly with influences of classical music, chamber music, jazz, contemporary music and world music in an original amalgamation unique and powerful.
Trifolia :
